Looking Your Best New Year's Eve
This is the segment we did on Fox 5 Atlanta this morning! We had 3 great models, including Miss GA USA Kaylin Reque. Lisa did makeup, giving the girls a smokey eye with nude lips. Nola made everyone's hair full and pretty. Sekeya pulled the fabulous outfits from Forever 21 (Thanks Faye) and H&M (Thanks Tony and Melissa). Fun was had by all!

Dirty Brushes Are Gross!
There's nothing worse than dirty brushes. It's extremely unsanitary and it can ruin a client's experience. You should have a cleaner in your kit that cleans, dries quickly, and cleans EVERYTHING out of your brushes. Cinema Secrets brush cleaner is great, and effective, and leaves brushes feeling and smelling really pleasant. Of course there are several that work, this just happens to work best for me, plus I do love the pretty blue color. Here's what the CS webiste says about it's best-seller:
BRUSH CLEANER
Brush Cleaner is required to do two things. First, it should clean brushes by removing all makeup (any type) from your brushes and condition the brushes to proote the longevity needed for a profesional quality brush. Second, the brush cleaner needs to santitize and remove all bacteria from the brush. Cinema Secrets Brush Cleaner is the only Brush Cleaner that will completly remove 99.9% of the bacteria in your brush (when you follow the recommended instructions).

Trying New Things
A lot of times as artists it's so easy to get into "ruts".....It happens to the best of us. Of course we all have our faves, but it's always good to try new things and experiment-that's part of the fun of being a makeup artist! I've heard Sam Fine rave about this powder many times, and I finally got it...now I'm hooked! As usual, I'm all about pretty packaging, but most importantly, the product has got to rock my world, and this one does!! Smooth finish, doesn't take much, (which makes it worth 60.00) and it feels luxurious, which is really important for the client's ultimate experience.

Calling All MAC Lovers!
So I've been playing with some of the beautiful limited edition products by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders for MAC. The entire collection is so rich and pretty! I love using color, so this is right up my alley!!! If you haven't gotten anything from this collection, you should. The packaging is itself art, so sleek. So far my favorite is the lip gloss in Aleydis...oh what a nice shade of fuchsia ! (I'm kinda over the "Barbie" pink!) Plus I like the deeper, richer tones for fall/winter.
Check out how pretty.....

The Lavish Xperience: The Ultimate Unconference
We had honor of attending the Lavish Conference for Lifestyle Bloggers this past weekend, and it was awesome! Shameeka Ayers (@brokesocialite) put together some of the most creative, unique, and informative blog panelists! Agency founder Nyssa was on the panel: "I'm a Makeup Junkie, Therefore I Blog!" Her co-panelist was You Tube sensation Ren. (Makeupbyrenren.com) She's a fab blogger, and so sweet! We had delicious "Greenroom" cupcakes after the panel, as well goodies from Pur Minerals(we got this pencil in the new gold and silver!) and Iman Cosmetics! We met so many other wonderful bloggers-way too many to name, but you'll definitely see some of them soon as guest bloggers!!! Blog love!!!
Absolutely one of the best discoveries at the conference! Follow @girlinthevalley to great wine!!
